As a family-run business, we’re proud to have been creating stunning bespoke curtains and blinds for over 30 years. Our clients entrust us with their wishes, whether it be exquisite luxury or homely comfort. We listen, discuss, and gently guide them through the design process, ultimately delivering their vision with thoughtful solutions and timeless elegance.
In 1989, Sarah Wooldridge started the SWD journey to create bespoke window dressings to bring elegant functionality to interior spaces. As the business has grown, so has the family. It just so happens that both worlds came together when Sarah’s daughter, Harriet, joined her mother.
Harriet is passionate about design and she is wholly committed to upholding SWD’s core essence and she has added her own creativity into the work that we do. Together with the dedicated staff, this mother and daughter duo have blended their experience and dedication into a vibrant future of creating window dressings that transcend functionality and sophistication.
It would be impossible to leave out the canine friends who are also a part of the team at SWD. The presence of our four-legged friends serves as a reminder of the authentic and wholesome atmosphere that a genuine family-run business exudes.
Over the years we have had the pleasure of working on a wide array of projects across the country, from huge listed mansion houses to tiny railway cottages. The trust people place in us to visit their homes and realise their visions is an absolute privilege. Mixing our innate creativity with finding solutions to new challenges on every project makes this the best job in the world!
